So, what IS H4CK Night?

So, what IS H4CK Night?

H4CK Night FAQ:

What is H4CK Night?
Basically, it’s a few hours set aside for coders, programmers, entrepreneurs, and tech curious minds and everyone in between to come together. To share ideas and work on projects – either with each other, or independently.

So, the purpose of a H4CK Night is….?
To connect with the people in your industry or who share your interests. To experiment with different projects and ideas. To create products, businesses, and personal networks. And maybe most importantly, to have fun!

Why would I want to spend my evening at H4CK Night?
H4ck Night provides you with an opportunity to meet new people and work on that project or idea you’ve been putting off for a while.

Additionally, H4ck Night allows access to other people’s expertise and skills. Have you been stuck on an error or idea that’s been bugging you? The person beside you at H4ck Night might have the solution, just like you may have solutions for others. Show up and find out how you can help or be helped! It all happens in a shared space. You never know when you might have a quick question and could use the skills of the person sitting right next to you. Everyone is welcome to come check it out, even if you don’t have something to work on, you might be able to help someone else with their project!

Where is it?
Typically H4ck Nights are hosted on campus at Thompson Rivers University, or on location at Kamloops Innovation. We like to switch it up. Check the event details on Facebook, Twitter, Meetup, kamloopsinnovation.ca, or give us a call at 250-434-0200 if you want to triple check that you’re headed to the right place!

What should I bring?
Yourself, and any friends who are even a little bit curious! You may also want to consider bringing:

• A laptop
• A charger
• An idea or project (or the willingness to jump on board with someone else’s)
• Any supplies needed for your project
• An open mind

How much is it?
Free! Nice, right?
